Aerial Mapping

Ardmore Quarry Bungonia | NSW

We undertake a biannual flight of the 2 million square metre quarry in Bungonia, NSW. We calculate the stockpile volumes and quarry cut volumes for the quarry. Approximately 3000 photos are captured using our DJI M300 RTK Drone. These photos are run through Photogrammetry Software Pix4d to produce raster images and point clouds. This data is used to calculate volumes of stockpiles, excavation and any other surface information required. The surface is also used by quarry designers for future design and development.

Bowral Waste Centre

Bi-annual flights are completed at this area to calculate the volume of waste deposited into the landfill. An aerial flight is conducted, processed, and a point cloud is created to represent the surface of the landfill.

This is then compared to the previous information and reported to the EPA to ensure EPA requirements are met. Volumes of quarried material are also calculated from this aerial flight.

Our surveyors are highly trained in single-beam echo sounders, GPS, and inertial navigation systems to provide optimum solutions for our clients.  

Hunter River | NSW

We are currently providing ongoing survey support to DCEEW as part of their ongoing Hunter River Flood Mitigation Scheme. Our services include surveying above and below-surface information to ensure the integrity of flood mitigation infrastructure.

Murray River Echuca | VIC

TSS were engaged to deliver both topographic and bathymetric data as part of the Campaspe Council’s rationalisation and redesign of both commercial and private mooring points and associated sub-leases. The survey involved the bathymetric survey of approximately 1.5km of the River in a high-traffic environment.

Murray River Swan Hill | VIC

TSS were engaged to deliver both topographic and bathymetric data as part of Swan Hill Council’s redesign of a boating mooring platform. The Bathymetric Survey required coordination with terrestrial project control and survey.

Lime Kiln Bay | NSW

Constructed Wetlands Survey for Georges River Council (GRC). Engaged to provide a detailed ground and bathymetric survey of the existing wetlands. The goal was to assist with the investigation and redesign of the constructed wetlands and surrounding areas.

Manly Cove

International Cruise Terminal | Sydney

This project extended the existing wharf and required a full-time surveyor for the duration. We delivered piling setout for over 150 marine piles in a high traffic marine environment. Installation included a combination of metal driven piles and sheet piling to ensure the structures stability and durability in the challenging location. 

Kamay Wharf Kurnell & La Perouse | NSW

TSS was engaged to establish and maintain survey control for the Marine Piling Contractor. A weekly audit schedule was established and TSS was also responsible for the provision of final ‘as constructed’ surveys and reporting.

Middle Harbour Yacht Club | NSW

TSS was engaged to deliver piling setout for over 70 marine piles as part of the marina expansion which involved extension of two of the marina jetties.  The operation in this high traffic waterway required significant planning and coordination to minimise disruption to other waterway users.
